Daniel Vogel, P.E. | Principal – Design and Analysis

Daniel has over six years of experience as a design engineer and structural analyst in the subsea industry where he has been responsible for developing mechanisms that make possible the customer’s missions while withstanding the extreme loads and corrosion of the undersea environment. He specializes in the design, modeling, and simulation of non-traditional structures and materials subjected to complex loads. Daniel is a licensed Professional Engineer and graduated with High Distinction from the University of Virginia with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and a B.S. in Engineering Science concentrating in Materials Science. Outside of work, Daniel enjoys cycling, running, gardening, hunting, and studying the Bible.

Evan Smith | Principal – Design, Test, and Evaluation

Evan graduated from the University of Virginia with a BS double major in Mechanical Engineering and Aerospace Engineering. Evan has over five years of experience as a team lead for the United States Navy Test and Evaluation Squadron, VX-23. With extensive experience in mechanical design, test planning, test execution, and design spin and retest in the incredibly demanding naval aircraft carrier environment, Evan is able to work quickly to find innovative solutions to mechanical and electrical integration problems to deliver a superior product to the customer. During his free time Evan enjoys playing the guitar, hiking, fishing, hunting, and singing hymns.
